My name is Eduardo Schaberger Poupeau. I was born on April 27, 1973, in Rafaela, Santa Fe, Argentina. Since childhood, I\u2019ve been passionate about astronomy, and this passion has been fueled by various events such as the space exploration boom, shuttle missions, the appearance of Halley\u2019s Comet (which I had the opportunity to observe), and the 1987 supernova, among others.<\/p>

Throughout my life, I have continued to nurture my love for gazing at the starry sky, even with the naked eye.<\/p>

In 2006, I began my career as a professional photographer, specializing in portraits of children and families. However, from the outset, I also turned my camera toward the sky, capturing, for example, the awe-inspiring visit of Comet McNaught in early 2007.<\/p>

It was in early 2015, with the passage of Comet Lovejoy, that my dedication to astrophotography intensified significantly. I have been learning this discipline on my own.<\/p>

In 2017, I acquired my first H-alpha solar telescope, captivated by the images I could capture through it. Gradually, I faced the inherent challenges of solar photography and learned about capture techniques, processing, and the ideal equipment for obtaining the best results. As I immersed myself more and more in this field, I realized that solar photography was my true passion. Since 2020, 90% of my work has focused on capturing the beauty of the sun.<\/p>

Thanks to my dedication to solar photography, I have gained worldwide recognition. My photographs have been published on prominent science portals, websites, newspapers, and other media outlets.\nIn the course of 2023, one of my images captured global attention and went viral after being published on March 10 on the Space Weather website. For approximately two months, it was widely disseminated, being shared by science portals, news outlets, and prestigious print and online media in various countries, from the United States to Guam, through the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and many others. In my country, it also caused a great impact, and the Todo Noticias (TN) website published an extensive article about my work in solar photography, which was echoed by television channels, radios, and other national media.<\/p>

On September 14, 2023, my photograph \"A Sun Question\" was selected as the winner of the \"Our Sun\" category in the world's most prestigious astrophotography contest, organized by the Royal Museums of Greenwich in the United Kingdom. In this edition, more than 4000 photographs from 65 different countries, sent by the best astrophotographers in the world, participated. Additionally, three of my photographs were selected as finalists and are currently part of the Astronomy Photographer of the Year book, as well as a photographic exhibition at the Greenwich Maritime Museum.<\/p>

By the end of 2023, the prestigious scientific journal Nature, founded in 1869, selected my photograph \u201cA Sun Question\u201d as one of the scientific images of the year.<\/p>

On February 17, 2024, I photographed a rare solar prominence over 200,000 km high, which quickly captured global attention and triggered a true avalanche of coverage in the world\u2019s most prestigious media outlets. The BBC in London and BBC Mundo (in Spanish) highlighted my solar photography work. I also had a live interview on France 24 in Spanish and participated in the renowned program Objetivo Planeta on Spanish television (RTVE). Furthermore, this photograph was chosen as one of the scientific images of February by the UK\u2019s Nature magazine.
This worldwide recognition also piqued the interest of Argentina\u2019s major news outlets, resulting in extensive coverage by TN, Clar\u00edn, La Naci\u00f3n, Radio Nacional, and other media and portals. I also appeared on the program Fen\u00f3menos on TN and twice on the live show Programa Re Despiertos, also on TN.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This website, associated with NASA, enjoys worldwide popularity due to its constant updates on solar behavior, auroras, and all aspects related to \u201cspace weather.\u201d<\/span>
    <\/span>It\u2019s a tremendous honor that my photographs have contributed to illustrating relevant scientific events showcased on this platform. Space Weather, created and maintained by Dr. Tony Phillips, a renowned professional astronomer, researcher, and author of over 100 scientific articles, has become an invaluable reference for those interested in the study of space and its phenomena.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The \u201cGalileo Galilei\u201d Astronomical Association of Italy is known for providing technical support to the national and international scientific community, offering valuable assistance in astronomical monitoring. Their goal is to establish a fixed observation point that facilitates monthly meetings and provides an accessible space for amateur astronomers and those interested in pursuing their passion for astronomy. Additionally, they select a daily featured photograph as the Astronomy Picture of the Day.     Within the field of astrophotography, one of the most widely used brands of astronomical cameras in the world is ZWO. This company published an interview with me about my work in solar photography on November 15, 2020, on their website. It was the first time they featured the story of an astrophotographer dedicated to photographing the sun. It was truly a great honor for me to have received this recognition and to answer such interesting questions about how I capture my photographs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
