The sun is just one of the millions of stars that populate our galaxy, but its proximity makes it very special, as we can observe and photograph a fascinating diversity of details that change daily.

With my equipment, I can photograph in three different wavelengths, two of the layers of the solar atmosphere:

  • The photosphere, que es la que nos proporciona luz y calor, en ella podemos ver las famosas y  enigmáticas “manchas solares”.
  • The chromosphere, a thin layer that rises above the photosphere, witnessing spectacular prominences and complex formations that are revealed in the wavelengths of Hydrogen-alpha (Ha) and Calcium (CaK).

Join me on this visual journey through the sun, where beauty intertwines with science.
